Q is for QUANTUM PHYSICS

This post is part of "An A to Z for Success". See the side panel on the right for an index.

Relax if the title makes you think, "What happened to KISS (Keep It Simple Steve)?" A look at QUANTUM PHYSICS can be fun, and just an idea about some of the basics can help to expand our view of POSSIBILITY (which we began to explore in the previous post).

It all begins with Einstein's famous equation:

E=mc2

An equation implies that two things are equivalent to each other. In this case, energy (E) is equivalent to mass (m) or solid matter: they are fundamentally the same thing. (The "c" just means that we have rather a lot of energy within each chunk of apparently solid stuff).

The significance of this is that fluid energy and solid mass are interchangeable. One can become the other. In other words, the entire world of fixed stuff that we see around us is only one of many possible forms.

Take a look at this video clip in which the famous "double slit experiment" is neatly explained, and shows how solid mattter and waves of energy do interchange in the real world.

Again, science is telling us here that the world we see around us is not as fixed and inevitable as it may seem to our immediate senses. Rather, there are always waves of endless possibility.

The really interesting part comes at the end of the video, which explains that of all the possibilities, the one that becomes fixed is the one that we expect. Now there's a thought. It begins to explain how, in the same physical circumstances, one person experiences being trapped as a victim, whereas another realises freedom, which always begins as a vision of another possibility.

Of course, my short introduction to QUANTUM PHYSICS is simplified and should not be taken too literally. I am not saying that a scrap of wrapping paper can be turned into a hundred dollar bill if we just choose to look at it differently. On the other hand, the possibilities that are opened are just as amazing. However, there are a host of other factors at play that must be added to the equation (and that is what the whole of this "A to Z for Success" is about).

The thing is, in any situation, we can choose whether we will be victim of victor, and our situation can be changed accordingly. As Henry Ford put it, "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you will be right." He seems to have proven his point through the enormous success of Ford Motors. And now, QUANTUM SCIENCE is backing up his statement.

To explore these ideas further, search YouTube or Google for scientists like Bruce Lipton or Gregg Braden. But be sure to come back here afterwards! Next we will be looking at something that inevitably gets in the way whenever we try to realise our POSSIBILITY ... and how we can get round it.
