We are all born naked, with nothing to our name, totally dependent upon others. Our growing up is a process of asserting our independence and individuality: finding our uniqueness. It can become quite a struggle.
Once we think we have achieved independence, life throws up challenge after challenge. We fall ill, our job is axed, a war starts around us, disaster strikes... If there is one message running through all that, then perhaps life is repeatedly trying to teach us that, after all, we just cannot survive without others. Our real happiness is to be found in co-operation.
When we take on board that lesson, we begin to look for ways to strengthen and contribute to our inter-dependence, rather than just taking what we can out of it. That turns out to be the purpose of growing up and finding our own uniqueness.
From then on, struggle seems to untangle from our lives. Because life supports those who work in harmony with it's own dearest aim, which is more life for all.

Revisit your wish list. By all means ask for more, bigger, better. But at the same time, see if you can also contribute to others in some way. Remember, one of the fastest ways to get something is to give that same thing to others.
Watch this video clip of someone who was reduced to nothing ... he was reduced to a situation of no home, no money and nowhere to go ... and see what happened when he realised that he could give to others what he most wanted for himself in that moment.
Now, what could you add to your wish list for others? If you are stuck for an idea, let your eyes drift to the side panel on the right and notice the new MAKE YOUR MARK feature I've just added to this blog. KIVA is a great way to help others that need not cost you anything: you can get your money back at the end (if you really want to). Check it out, you'll love the idea.
And if you'd like to know what's on my wish list for you, check out my profile on Twitter (click the button below my email address up towards the top right section of this page).

Next comes "P", so we'll take a look at an intriguing paradox.
