Although the essence of JOY is universal, we each have our own ideas about what brings us joy. So what you do is entirely up to you, but I urge you to think about how you might enjoy much more of it, and much more often.
I'll share with you a very effective method that I use:
Today is my birth day!
When they read that, those "in the know" may suspect that my mind has flipped because today is definitely not May 14th. But, you see, May 14th is my birth date, not my birth day. In 1954, when I was born, May 14th fell on a Friday. So Friday is my birth day ... every Friday!
And what do we do on our birthday? We make a special effort to do something we enjoy, to feel good, and to share our joy with others. I have found that it's most enjoyable to make this special effort every week ... every Friday in my case ... rather than just once a year.
Some may think it a touch self-indulgent or even downright selfish to celebrate ourselves with a birthday every single week. But think of it this way. As the world fills up with more and more people who experience joy more, and more often ... then the world becomes a much better place for everyone. So please do your bit!
To find out your birth day, just Google "perpetual calendar" and take your pick from one of the many websites where you can check the calendar for the year you were born. Many will also tell of the other significant things that happened on the day you began this life.

This practice of celebrating a weekly birth day fits in very well with the theme of this "A to Z" series, which is about the many different factors at play whenever we aim to achieve success in anything.
At the start of the series, we talked about writing a wish-list, emphasising the importance of a clear WHY as well as the details of WHAT we want to achieve. Every post in this "A to Z" series includes a tip on how to move ourselves along on the path from our initial aim to our eventual achievement. A weekly celebration of our birth day can become a very useful part of that process.
As part of our weekly celebration of our birth day, we can include a celebration of what we have done that week towards realising our wish-list. A regular focus on progress builds confidence, which leads to bolder action, which speeds us towards more success. As the saying goes, nothing succeeds like success!
You may find you have done nothing that week. Celebrate anyway. Celebrate that you have remembered to make an effort the next week ... and the next week ... and the next. And before long, you most surely will be making great efforts and great progress towards success in your chosen aims. It will become a habit.

Our next letter is "K". That's a tough one. I may write about KISS, which is an acronym for Keep It Secret Steve. (Even I don't know what it will be!)
EN-JOY !!!
